Central Arkansas Woodturners
Homeabout

The Central Arkansas Woodturners (CAW) club was formed around 1998 by several members of the Hot Springs Village Woodworkers. An ongoing relationship was formed with the National Park College (NPC) in Hot Springs when the college made its meeting facility and woodshop available for monthly meetings. Club members provided a lathe and personnel to teach woodturning to students. The woodshop now has a total of 5 wood lathes.

CAW is also a chapter member of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). There are almost 70 active members in CAW from the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village areas as well as Jacksonville, Conway, Little Rock, Mt. Ida, Benton and other surrounding communities. We have a great mix of young, old, male and female members who have a wide range of woodturning experience from novice to professional.

CAW members met virtually during the first 1 1/2 years of the pandemic and began in person meetings again in July 2021. See the
Events for details of current events. Meetings are open to the public. If you are a vendor or representative of a product/service that our members might be interested in, please contact us.

We invite you to come join our club. Email us at info@centralarwoodturners.org for more information.
